Zidoo UHD8000 Media Player & DAC

ZIDOO UHD8000 8K MEDIA PLAYER & DAC

The Zidoo UHD8000 is a flagship 8K network media player and high-resolution audio DAC designed for premium home cinema and Hi-Fi systems. Combining advanced Dolby Vision video processing, an ESS ES9069Q DAC, balanced analogue outputs and dual internal hard-drive bays, it delivers a versatile solution for enthusiasts with extensive digital movie and music collections.

8K VIDEO AND DOLBY VISION

Powered by the Amlogic S928X-K processor, the UHD8000 supports video output up to 8K at 60Hz via HDMI 2.1a. Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG support ensure compatibility with a wide range of modern high-dynamic-range content.

The Dolby VS10 processing engine provides flexible SDR and HDR conversion, while automatic frame-rate and resolution switching help deliver smooth playback with compatible televisions and projectors.

ESS ES9069Q HIGH-RESOLUTION DAC

A dedicated ESS ES9069Q digital-to-analogue converter provides premium stereo music playback through balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs.

The analogue section supports PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512, with manufacturer-specified signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range exceeding 123dB. This allows the UHD8000 to serve as both a home cinema source and a serious stereo music component.

XMOS USB DAC INPUT

The integrated XMOS USB audio interface allows the UHD8000 to operate as an external DAC for compatible Windows, macOS and Android devices.

USB DAC operation supports stereo PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit and DSD512, providing a convenient route for high-resolution music from a computer or compatible digital source.

SEPARATE AUDIO AND VIDEO POWER SUPPLIES

The UHD8000 combines a switching power supply with a dedicated toroidal linear power supply, designed to serve its digital processing and audio circuits independently.

This carefully arranged architecture helps minimise unwanted electrical interaction between the media processing and high-resolution analogue audio sections.

DUAL HDMI OUTPUTS

Separate HDMI outputs provide flexibility for modern home cinema installations. The main HDMI 2.1a output handles high-resolution video, while the dedicated HDMI audio connection can feed a compatible AV receiver or surround processor.

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X bitstream passthrough, along with multichannel PCM and DSD support, enable immersive audio playback through suitable external equipment.

DUAL INTERNAL HDD BAYS

Two internal SATA 3.0 bays accommodate compatible 3.5-inch hard drives, allowing the UHD8000 to store and organise extensive local movie and music libraries. Drives are sold separately.

Zidoo's Home Theater poster-wall software provides convenient browsing with movie artwork and metadata, while compatible Blu-ray ISO files and supported disc-menu structures can be accessed from local storage.

DEDICATED MUSIC PLAYBACK

The UHD8000 supports popular lossless music formats, including FLAC, WAV, DSF and DFF, together with SACD ISO playback from compatible files.

Its music interface supports local libraries, gapless playback and compatible streaming protocols, including TIDAL Connect and DLNA.

NETWORKING AND SYSTEM CONTROL

Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 provide flexible connectivity. USB storage, network shares and mobile-app control make the player easy to integrate into a modern entertainment system.

RS-232, IP control and external infrared connections support advanced installations and home automation.

PREMIUM FULL-WIDTH CONSTRUCTION

A substantial aluminium chassis with a brushed front panel, internal vibration control and a clear front display completes the flagship design. At approximately 5.9kg, the UHD8000 offers robust construction while accommodating its dual drive bays and dedicated audio circuitry.
