Cayin CS-100DAP Network Streamer & DAC

CAYIN CS-100DAP NETWORK STREAMER & DAC

The Cayin CS-100DAP is a high-end digital audio player combining network music streaming, a sophisticated ESS SABRE DAC, local music-server functionality and versatile digital connectivity. Designed as a complete source component for premium Hi-Fi systems, it offers both balanced analogue outputs and a comprehensive selection of digital audio interfaces.

ESS SABRE ES9028PRO DIGITAL CONVERSION

The integrated ESS ES9028PRO DAC delivers detailed, dynamic stereo reproduction through balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections. Its adjustable analogue output level allows the CS-100DAP to operate as a conventional source or to feed compatible power amplifiers and active loudspeakers directly.

A dedicated headphone amplifier with a front-panel 6.35mm output provides convenient personal listening without requiring an additional component.

HIGH-RESOLUTION PCM AND DSD PLAYBACK

The CS-100DAP supports digital audio up to PCM 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 through compatible playback and digital output paths.

An extensive range of supported file formats includes FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, APE, MP3, AAC, DSF, DFF and SACD ISO. The HiBy music player provides organised browsing and playback of large high-resolution music libraries.

5-INCH TOUCHSCREEN AND ANDROID PLATFORM

A 5-inch Full HD touchscreen provides direct control of music browsing, playback and system settings. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor powers the Android 9.0-based interface.

Compatible music services and applications include TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, Deezer and other supported platforms. Service compatibility depends on app availability, firmware and current provider requirements.

DUAL INTERNAL SATA DRIVE BAYS

Two internal 2.5-inch SATA drive mounts allow the CS-100DAP to function as a substantial local music server. Install compatible SSDs or hard drives to store and organise a personal music collection directly within the player.

Additional music can be accessed through USB storage, an SD card or supported network sources. Internal drives are not included unless specifically stated in the selected product package.

COMPREHENSIVE DIGITAL OUTPUTS

The CS-100DAP provides USB Audio, HDMI-style I²S, AES/EBU, optical Toslink and RCA/BNC coaxial digital outputs for connection to compatible external DACs.

USB and I²S output support up to PCM 768kHz and DSD512, while S/PDIF connections accommodate conventional high-resolution digital audio formats.

The HDMI-style I²S connection is intended for compatible digital audio devices and does not carry conventional HDMI video or ARC signals. I²S pin compatibility must be confirmed before connecting.

WI-FI, BLUETOOTH AND REMOTE CONTROL

Wireless networking supports music streaming and access to compatible network storage. Bluetooth 5.0 offers additional playback flexibility, including support for high-quality codecs such as LDAC and UAT with compatible devices.

HiBy Link enables remote control through a compatible mobile device. AirPlay, DLNA and SMB/Samba functionality further expand integration with existing home music systems.

DEDICATED POWER SUPPLIES AND PREMIUM DESIGN

Separate transformers supply the digital processing and analogue audio sections, helping reduce electrical interaction between critical circuits.

The substantial metal chassis measures 420 × 391 × 117mm and weighs approximately 10.2kg. With its large touchscreen, extensive connectivity and refined construction, the CS-100DAP is designed to serve as the centre of a serious digital music system.
