CEN.GRAND DSDAC 1.0 SUPER CLOCK DAC

The Cen.Grand DSDAC 1.0 Super Clock is the upgraded version of the original DSDAC 1.0, positioned between the Standard and Deluxe models. Instead of using a conventional integrated DAC chip, it combines FPGA digital processing with discrete conversion hardware and a proprietary DSD-based architecture developed around high-rate internal processing.

SUPER CLOCK WITH 100FS JITTER

The main upgrade over the Standard model is the higher-performance clock system. Cen.Grand specifies RMS jitter as low as 100fs and also uses selected upgraded components in the Super Clock version. The architecture is designed to keep the local conversion clock as independent as possible from the incoming digital source.

DSD1024 INTERNAL PROCESSING

Incoming PCM and lower-rate DSD signals can be processed internally up to DSD1024. Native DSD material above DSD128 can also be handled without mandatory upsampling. The DAC therefore performs its own high-rate digital processing internally rather than relying on external software upsampling.

SYNCHRONOUS DIRECT CLOCKING

Cen.Grand’s synchronous direct clock technology sends the internal femtosecond clock directly toward the conversion stage without a conventional frequency-divider stage. Together with clock replacement technology, this reduces dependence on the timing quality of the connected transport or streamer.

USB, AES, COAXIAL & OPTICAL INPUTS

USB supports PCM up to 384kHz and native DSD512, while AES/EBU, coaxial, BNC and optical inputs support PCM up to 192kHz and DSD64 via DoP. Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA analogue outputs make integration straightforward with both balanced and single-ended systems.

VARIABLE OUTPUT FOR DIRECT CONNECTION

The DSDAC 1.0 Super Clock includes digital volume control from -70dB to 0dB, allowing variable output operation where required. XLR output reaches 5.0Vrms, while RCA provides 2.5Vrms. For a higher-tier version of the same platform, see the Cen.Grand DSDAC 1.0 Deluxe.
