REL T/5x SUBWOOFER
The REL T/5x is a compact powered subwoofer designed for two-channel music systems and mixed music/home cinema installations. As the most accessible model in REL's Serie T/x range, it combines an 8-inch down-firing FibreAlloy driver, a 125W Class A/B amplifier and a sealed cabinet in a discreet, elegantly finished design.
8-INCH FIBREALLOY DRIVER
The T/5x uses a 200mm long-throw FibreAlloy driver with an inverted alloy centre cap and steel chassis. Its lightweight composite cone combines aluminium and paper materials, while revised suspension components support controlled movement at higher output levels.
The driver fires downward toward the floor, distributing bass energy throughout the listening space without requiring a visible front-facing driver or grille. The closed-box design provides a specified low-frequency extension of 32Hz at -6dB.
125W CLASS A/B AMPLIFICATION
A dedicated 125W RMS Class A/B amplifier powers the T/5x. REL's analogue amplification and filtering architecture is designed for integration with the main loudspeakers, with separate level and crossover controls to help achieve the appropriate balance for the listening room.
HIGH-LEVEL & LFE CONNECTIONS
REL's Neutrik Speakon High-Level input allows connection to compatible amplifier speaker terminals using the supplied 10m cable. A separate RCA low-level input supports equipment with suitable preamplifier outputs, while a dedicated RCA LFE input provides connection to home cinema processors.
The separate music and LFE signal paths allow the T/5x to serve both stereo and cinema applications without requiring cables to be changed between listening sessions.
COMPACT DESIGN & WIRELESS OPTION
With a footprint of just 300 Γ 313mm, the T/5x is suitable for smaller and medium-sized rooms where a larger subwoofer would be impractical. Its rounded cabinet is finished in five coats of Piano Black or Gloss White lacquer.
For installations where a wired signal connection is inconvenient, the T/5x supports the optional REL Arrow wireless system, sold separately.
