DAVIS ACOUSTICS COURBET N°4 FLOORSTANDING SPEAKERS

The Davis Acoustics Courbet N°4 is a compact 2-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed for smaller listening rooms where a traditional full-size floorstander would be difficult to accommodate. It combines a custom 13cm Kevlar mid/bass driver with the 28mm TW28CD soft-dome tweeter used across the Courbet range, delivering the proportions of a slim column with the simplicity of a two-driver architecture.

COURBET N°4 KEVLAR MID/BASS DRIVER

A bespoke 13cm Kevlar-cone driver handles both bass and midrange duties. Davis selected Kevlar for its balance of low mass and rigidity, allowing the compact driver to cover a wide operating range without requiring a separate midrange unit. The Courbet N°4 is specified from 51Hz to 25kHz at ±3dB, giving useful low-frequency extension for a cabinet only 82.5cm tall.

28MM SOFT-DOME TWEETER

High frequencies are reproduced by Davis Acoustics' 28mm TW28CD soft-dome tweeter. Using the same tweeter platform across the Courbet range helps maintain a consistent design philosophy, while the 4kHz crossover keeps the transition between the Kevlar mid/bass driver and tweeter straightforward.

90DB SENSITIVITY & FLEXIBLE AMPLIFIER MATCHING

With 90dB sensitivity, 90W nominal power handling and a 4–8Ω impedance range, the Courbet N°4 can be partnered with a wide variety of quality integrated and power amplifiers. Its relatively compact enclosure also makes it particularly suitable for smaller rooms and systems where physical footprint matters as much as output capability.

SLIM CABINET WITH BASS-REFLEX LOADING

The cabinet is slightly inclined backwards, a design choice intended to reduce internal standing-wave effects and improve driver alignment. A circular bass-reflex port supports low-frequency output, while the narrow 16cm cabinet width keeps the speaker visually discreet compared with conventional floorstanders.
