KINKI STUDIO EX-P27 CLASS A PREAMPLIFIER

The Kinki Studio EX-P27 is a high-end stereo preamplifier built around fully discrete Class A input and output circuitry, precision resistor-ladder volume control and a substantial dual-mono power architecture. Designed for demanding two-channel systems, it combines detailed analogue signal handling with versatile connectivity and elegant construction.

FULLY DISCRETE CLASS A CIRCUITRY

The EX-P27 employs independently designed, Class A-biased input and output stages. Its direct-coupled signal architecture is engineered for low distortion, wide bandwidth and precise transient reproduction.

Unlike a conventional integrated amplifier, the EX-P27 provides signal selection and volume control for external power amplifiers. It does not directly drive passive loudspeakers.

95-STEP R-2R RESISTOR-LADDER VOLUME CONTROL

A microprocessor-controlled, relay-switched resistor-ladder attenuator replaces the conventional volume potentiometer. Precision-matched resistors provide 95 volume steps for accurate, repeatable level adjustment.

The R-2R network is an analogue volume-control system, not a digital-to-analogue converter. Soft relay clicks during volume adjustment are a normal characteristic of its operation.

DUAL-MONO POWER SUPPLY DESIGN

Three separately enclosed transformers provide dedicated power resources for the left and right audio channels and the control circuitry. This architecture helps minimise interaction between sensitive analogue stages and the display or switching electronics.

Gold-plated circuit-board traces, selected components and a carefully arranged internal layout complement the EX-P27's premium engineering.

EXTENSIVE RCA AND XLR CONNECTIVITY

Four stereo input positions offer RCA and XLR connectivity for compatible DACs, CD players, network streamers and other analogue sources. Dedicated stereo RCA and XLR outputs provide flexible connections to suitable power amplifiers.

The EX-P27 supports convenient integration into systems combining multiple analogue sources. Its low 75-ohm output impedance is designed for effective signal transfer to compatible downstream amplification.

HOME THEATER BYPASS

The updated EX-P27 includes Home Theater Bypass for integration with a compatible AV processor or home cinema receiver.

This dedicated connection allows the external processor to manage the level of the front stereo channels. Always follow the manufacturer's connection instructions, as bypass operation transfers volume control to the upstream processor.

PREMIUM CONSTRUCTION AND REMOTE CONTROL

The substantial aluminium chassis measures 430 × 330 × 120mm and weighs approximately 15kg. Large front-panel controls and a clear display provide direct access to source selection and volume adjustment.

An included remote control adds everyday convenience. Black and Silver finishes are available depending on the selected version.
