KINKI STUDIO EARTH XLR INTERCONNECTS 1.5M

The Kinki Studio Earth XLR interconnects are premium balanced analogue audio cables designed for high-performance Hi-Fi systems. Supplied as a 1.5-metre stereo pair, they combine silver-plated OCC copper conductors, DuPont PTFE insulation, gold-plated XLR connector contacts and passive high-frequency noise absorption.

SILVER-PLATED OCC COPPER CONDUCTORS

The Earth XLR cables use Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC) monocrystalline copper conductors with a silver-plated surface. According to Kinki Studio, the silver layer is approximately 2.2 times thicker than that used in conventional comparison designs.

A specialised polishing treatment is applied to the conductor surfaces as part of the manufacturing process, supporting consistent construction and long-term reliability.

BALANCED XLR SIGNAL CONNECTION

Each cable features a three-pin XLR female connector at one end and a three-pin XLR male connector at the other. The stereo pair is suitable for connecting compatible balanced outputs and inputs on DACs, network streamers, preamplifiers and power amplifiers.

Balanced connections can provide effective rejection of common-mode interference when used with properly designed balanced audio equipment.

PASSIVE HIGH-FREQUENCY EMI ABSORPTION

Kinki Studio's integrated Absorbing Ring technology is designed to attenuate high-frequency electromagnetic interference above 100kHz.

This passive approach requires no external power supply and complements the inherent noise-rejection capability of a balanced audio connection. Actual effectiveness depends on the equipment and surrounding electrical environment.

DUPONT PTFE INSULATION AND PREMIUM CONNECTORS

DuPont PTFE insulation is selected for its dielectric stability, temperature resistance and mechanical durability.

The XLR connectors feature gold-plated copper contact cores, with a manufacturer-specified reinforced construction approximately 1.5 times thicker than its conventional reference design.

THREE-STAGE CRYOGENIC TREATMENT

Both the cables and their connectors undergo a three-stage cryogenic treatment reaching -196°C, according to Kinki Studio.

This specialised treatment forms part of the Earth series manufacturing process, alongside the conductor polishing and carefully selected contact materials.
