KINKI STUDIO EX-P7 CLASS A PREAMPLIFIER
The Kinki Studio EX-P7 is a high-performance stereo line preamplifier featuring fully discrete Class A-biased input and output stages, precision R-2R resistor-ladder volume control and a dual-mono power supply. Designed as the control centre of a dedicated Hi-Fi system, it combines refined analogue circuitry with balanced and unbalanced connectivity.
FULLY DISCRETE CLASS A CIRCUITRY
True Class A-biased input and output stages form the heart of the EX-P7. Its fully discrete architecture is designed to preserve musical detail, natural tonal balance and precise stereo imaging.
The EX-P7 handles source selection and volume control for a separate power amplifier. It does not drive passive loudspeakers directly.
256-STEP R-2R VOLUME CONTROL
A precision resistor-ladder attenuator provides 256 volume steps, allowing fine and repeatable adjustment of listening levels.
The R-2R network controls analogue signal attenuation and is not a digital-to-analogue converter. Its carefully matched resistors are designed to provide accurate volume adjustment across the operating range.
TRUE DUAL-MONO POWER SUPPLIES
Two encapsulated AMPLIMO transformers provide independent power resources for the left and right audio channels. This arrangement helps minimise interaction between channels and supports the EX-P7's dedicated analogue design.
Gold-plated circuit-board traces and carefully selected components complement the dual-mono architecture.
BALANCED XLR AND RCA CONNECTIONS
The EX-P7 offers two stereo RCA inputs and one balanced stereo XLR input for connecting compatible DACs, network streamers, CD players and other line-level sources.
Two stereo RCA outputs and one balanced stereo XLR output provide flexible connection options for compatible stereo power amplifiers and monoblocks.
WIDE-BANDWIDTH ANALOGUE PERFORMANCE
With a manufacturer-specified frequency response extending to 150kHz within ±1dB, the EX-P7 is engineered for wide-bandwidth analogue signal reproduction.
A nominal 75-ohm output impedance supports effective connection to suitable downstream amplifiers.
PREMIUM ALUMINIUM CONSTRUCTION
The EX-P7 features a substantial aluminium enclosure with an 8–10mm thick chassis structure designed for mechanical rigidity and shielding.
A front-panel display, precision controls and supplied remote control make everyday operation convenient. The preamplifier weighs 13kg and is available in Black and Silver finishes.
