CANOR VIRTUS A3 HYBRID INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
The CANOR Virtus A3 is an all-in-one dual-mono hybrid integrated amplifier combining speaker amplification, a high-resolution DAC, fully discrete MM/MC phono stage and balanced headphone amplifier in a single chassis. Its architecture combines a tube-based differential input stage with CANOR's Class A current-dumping output topology.
HYBRID CLASS A / AB ARCHITECTURE
Two E88CC tubes operate in the balanced differential input stage, while the high-power solid-state output section provides the current required by demanding loudspeakers. CANOR's current-dumping topology keeps a low-power Class A stage in control of the loudspeaker signal while the Class AB section supplies additional load current when required.
100W PER CHANNEL INTO 8Ω
The Virtus A3 delivers 100W per channel into 8Ω and 150W per channel into 4Ω according to CANOR's IHF dynamic-power specification. Its fully differential, dual-mono layout uses independent regulated power supplies for the left and right signal paths, helping maintain channel separation throughout the amplifier.
DUAL-MONO ES9038Q2M DAC
Digital conversion is handled by two ESS ES9038Q2M DACs in a dual-mono configuration. The galvanically isolated USB-C input supports PCM up to 32-bit / 768kHz and native DSD512, while AES/EBU, coaxial and optical inputs accommodate conventional digital transports and streamers.
DISCRETE MM / MC PHONO STAGE
Vinyl playback is integrated directly into the Virtus A3 through a fully discrete phono preamplifier supporting both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. Multiple gain settings and user-adjustable cartridge loading provide considerably more flexibility than the basic phono stages typically found in integrated amplifiers.
BALANCED HEADPHONE AMPLIFICATION
A dedicated fully symmetrical headphone amplifier provides both 6.3mm single-ended and 4-pin XLR balanced outputs. The Virtus A3 also includes variable RCA and balanced XLR preamplifier outputs for integrating an external power amplifier, active loudspeakers or subwoofers.
ALL-IN-ONE WITHOUT BUILT-IN STREAMING
The Virtus A3 brings amplification, digital conversion, vinyl playback and headphone listening together in one premium component. It does not include an integrated network streamer, allowing the streaming source to remain independently upgradeable while the amplifier serves as the central analogue and digital control hub.
