DAVIS ACOUSTICS THE WALL FLOORSTANDING SPEAKERS
The Davis Acoustics The Wall is a reference-scale 3-way loudspeaker from the Heritage range, created to combine traditional high-efficiency speaker engineering with a distinctive furniture-inspired design. Each cabinet uses four drivers, including twin internally mounted carbon woofers in push-pull loading, a large 21cm Kevlar midrange and a dedicated 25mm tweeter.
THE WALL PUSH-PULL BASS SYSTEM
Two 21cm carbon-cone woofers are mounted inside the enclosure in a push-pull configuration. This arrangement allows Davis Acoustics to generate substantial low-frequency output from the large sealed structure while controlling unwanted mechanical behaviour. The Wall is specified to reach 30Hz at Β±3dB, giving it genuine full-range capability without relying on a conventional external bass-reflex port.
21CM KEVLAR TiCoNAl MIDRANGE
A large 21cm Kevlar-cone driver handles the critical midrange and uses Davis Acoustics' TiCoNAl magnetic system. It operates across an unusually broad portion of the audible spectrum, reducing the need for complex filtering through the region where vocals and acoustic instruments are most sensitive to crossover behaviour.
3-WAY HERITAGE ARCHITECTURE
The upper frequencies are handled by a 25mm tweeter, completing a 3-way, four-driver configuration. With 92.5dB sensitivity and a nominal 4Ξ© impedance, The Wall is designed for serious amplification but does not depend on extremely high amplifier power to achieve realistic listening levels. Davis specifies 120W nominal and 200W maximum power handling.
DESIGNED AS ACOUSTIC FURNITURE
At 130cm high and 70cm wide, The Wall deliberately moves away from the narrow-column format used by most modern floorstanders. Real wood veneers and the absence of a front logo give it the appearance of a substantial piece of furniture. Available finishes include Walnut, Iceball Ebony and White Ebony.
