PLINIUS REFERENCE M-10 DUAL-MONO PREAMPLIFIER

The Plinius Reference M-10 is a high-end analogue stereo preamplifier developed for demanding separate-component Hi-Fi systems. Its fully discrete dual-mono architecture, extensive balanced and single-ended connectivity, selectable gain and precise control functions make it a versatile partner for high-performance stereo power amplifiers.

FULLY DISCRETE DUAL-MONO ARCHITECTURE

The Reference M-10 uses independent left- and right-channel amplification paths to maintain consistent signal handling and reduce unwanted interaction between channels.

Its fully discrete signal circuitry employs carefully selected low-value audio-grade resistors, with an emphasis on low noise, minimal distortion and faithful reproduction of the connected music source.

SELECTABLE GAIN FOR SYSTEM MATCHING

A rear-panel switch offers 0dB and +12dB gain settings, enabling the preamplifier to be matched to different power amplifier sensitivities and overall system gain structures.

The lower gain setting is particularly useful with high-sensitivity power amplifiers or systems using balanced connections, providing a wider practical adjustment range for the volume control.

FLEXIBLE XLR AND RCA CONNECTIVITY

The M-10 provides three selectable balanced XLR/RCA input groups, three additional stereo RCA line inputs and a dedicated Home Theatre Bypass connection.

Two configurable XLR/RCA preamplifier output groups allow connection to suitable stereo power amplifiers, monoblocks or bi-amplified systems. A separate RCA line output carries the selected source signal to compatible recording equipment or other line-level devices.

High-quality WBT RCA and Neutrik XLR connectors support reliable signal connections throughout the system.

HOME THEATRE INTEGRATION AND EXTERNAL CONTROL

The dedicated HT Bypass mode enables integration with a compatible home theatre processor, allowing the M-10 to form part of a combined stereo and multichannel installation.

An RC5 control input, one trigger input and two trigger outputs provide additional options for coordinated system operation. A rear-panel ground-lift switch can help resolve unwanted hum caused by ground-loop interactions.

PRECISION CONTROL AND REFERENCE CONSTRUCTION

Separate front-panel volume and balance controls allow precise adjustment of the listening level and left-to-right channel balance. The supplied Plinius remote provides convenient everyday operation.

The substantial non-magnetic aluminium enclosure houses the dual-mono circuitry and power supply sections, providing mechanical stability and shielding for sensitive analogue signals.

Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, the Reference M-10 is available in Black and Silver finishes and is intended as the control centre of a dedicated high-end analogue audio system.
