Combine EX-M7 amplification with Courbet N°8 floorstanders for detailed midrange, powerful bass and full-scale stereo listening.
The Kinki Studio EX-M7 is a high-performance dual-mono Class AB stereo power amplifier designed for demanding two-channel audio systems. Combining discrete EXICON lateral MOSFET output stages, separate toroidal transformers and a direct-coupled signal path, it delivers powerful, controlled amplification with exceptional dynamic capability.
The EX-M7 features two independent amplifier modules, each employing two complementary pairs of EXICON lateral MOSFET output devices. The discrete Class AB architecture is engineered for fast transient response, low noise and confident loudspeaker control.
Kinki Studio specifies up to 250W RMS per channel into 8 ohms in its published product information. The amplifier is designed for demanding loudspeaker loads, providing substantial headroom for dynamic music reproduction.
Two encapsulated 400VA toroidal transformers provide dedicated power resources for the left and right audio channels. Large reservoir capacitors support the output stages during demanding musical transients.
The dual-mono construction helps minimise interaction between channels while maintaining stable current delivery. Each amplifier module is mounted directly to a substantial heatsink for effective thermal management.
The EX-M7 employs a direct-coupled analogue signal path without conventional coupling capacitors. Its manufacturer-specified frequency response extends from DC to 2.5MHz at -3dB, complemented by a slew rate of 200V/µs.
This wide-bandwidth architecture is designed to preserve fast musical transients and low-level detail while maintaining the natural tonal balance associated with the EX series.
The rear panel provides stereo balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, allowing the EX-M7 to work with a wide range of high-quality preamplifiers and suitable DACs with variable analogue output.
A dedicated volume-controlled preamplifier is recommended for normal operation. The EX-M7 is a power amplifier and does not include its own source selector or volume control.
A 12V trigger connection allows coordinated operation with compatible preamplifiers or AV processors. The EX-M7 can power front stereo channels in an advanced home cinema system, or serve as the main amplifier in a dedicated Hi-Fi installation.
The substantial 25kg chassis incorporates independent left and right power-amplifier modules, heavy-duty loudspeaker terminals and carefully arranged internal wiring.
Available in Black and Silver finishes, the EX-M7 combines understated styling with the robust engineering expected from a high-current stereo power amplifier.
Pair the EX-M7 with a quality analogue preamplifier such as the Kinki Studio EX-P27, alongside suitable high-performance loudspeakers. Its power reserves make it a natural candidate for ambitious systems where amplifier control, dynamic range and precision are priorities.
