The Matrix Audio MD-1P brings high-resolution network streaming, digital-to-analogue conversion and powerful stereo amplification together in one premium component. Delivering 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms, it provides an elegant all-in-one solution for demanding passive loudspeakers without requiring a separate streamer, DAC or power amplifier.

300 WATTS PER CHANNEL AND DUAL SPEAKER OUTPUTS

The MD-1P delivers 2 × 300W RMS into 8 ohms, offering substantial power reserves for compatible loudspeakers. Its low output impedance and carefully engineered amplification stage are designed for stable, controlled performance.

Unlike the standard MD-1, the MD-1P features two independently selectable sets of speaker terminals. Switch between Speaker A and Speaker B from the included remote control, making it convenient to alternate between two loudspeaker pairs.

AKM VELVET SOUND DAC AND FEMTOSECOND CLOCKING

An AKM AK4493SEQ DAC converts high-resolution digital music into analogue audio. Dual low-phase-noise femtosecond clock oscillators and FPGA-based clock management provide precise timing for the digital audio circuitry.

USB audio supports PCM up to 24-bit/768kHz and Native DSD512 with compatible sources. Coaxial and optical inputs allow CD transports and other digital devices to be connected directly.

ROON READY STREAMING AND HIGH-RESOLUTION BLUETOOTH

Matrix Audio's MA Player platform supports Roon Ready, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2 and DLNA/UPnP. The MA Remote app provides convenient control of music services, network libraries and playback settings.

Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi offer flexible networking, while Bluetooth 5.0 supports LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC with compatible devices.

HDMI ARC AND VERSATILE ANALOGUE CONNECTIONS

HDMI ARC allows a compatible television to play stereo sound through the connected loudspeakers. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs accommodate additional analogue sources.

A dedicated MM phono input with RIAA equalisation and 40dB gain allows a compatible moving-magnet turntable to be connected without a separate phono preamplifier.

SUBWOOFER AND PREAMPLIFIER OUTPUTS

An adjustable RCA preamplifier output provides integration with additional amplification equipment. A dedicated subwoofer output offers convenient connection to a compatible active subwoofer.

The analogue volume system provides precise control, with fine level adjustments and channel-balance compensation.

LOCAL MUSIC LIBRARY AND TOUCHSCREEN CONTROL

An internal M.2 NVMe SSD slot allows compatible solid-state storage to be installed for local music playback. Two USB 3.0 ports can accommodate external storage and compatible USB CD drives, while NAS access supports larger network libraries.

The large front-panel display provides album artwork, playback information and system settings. The included infrared remote and MA Remote application provide additional control options.
