Eversolo DMP-A8 Network Streamer & DAC

EVERSOLO DMP-A8 NETWORK STREAMER & DAC

The Eversolo DMP-A8 is a premium network music streamer, high-resolution DAC, digital transport and fully balanced analogue preamplifier. Combining AKM VELVET SOUND conversion, a precision R-2R analogue volume controller and an intuitive 6-inch touchscreen, it offers a complete digital music solution for demanding stereo systems.

FLAGSHIP AKM VELVET SOUND CONVERSION

The DMP-A8 combines the AKM AK4191EQ digital processor with the AK4499EX DAC, separating digital signal processing from analogue conversion. An XMOS XU316 USB audio interface supports PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512 from compatible sources.

Dual Accusilicon precision clock oscillators and carefully selected analogue components support accurate timing and low-noise conversion. Eversolo specifies a dynamic range exceeding 128dB through the balanced XLR outputs.

FULLY BALANCED ANALOGUE PREAMPLIFIER

Unlike streaming DACs that rely exclusively on digital volume adjustment, the DMP-A8 incorporates a dedicated fully balanced analogue preamplifier with relay-controlled R-2R resistor-network volume attenuation.

Balanced XLR and conventional RCA inputs accommodate external analogue sources, while XLR and RCA preamplifier outputs allow direct connection to compatible power amplifiers or active speakers. The analogue stage offers up to +10dB gain and includes volume protection for safer operation.

ROON READY STREAMING & MUSIC SERVICES

Roon Ready certification, TIDAL Connect, DLNA and integrated access to popular music services make the DMP-A8 a flexible music source. TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music and other supported applications can be accessed through the touchscreen or Eversolo Control app.

Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi connect the player to online services and local music libraries. NAS access through SMB, NFS and other supported network protocols provides convenient playback from an existing music collection.

HDMI ARC & VERSATILE DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY

The DMP-A8 offers HDMI ARC for compatible televisions, USB-B digital audio input, two coaxial inputs, two optical inputs and Bluetooth reception with LDAC and aptX HD.

It can also serve as a standalone digital transport. USB audio, HDMI-style I²S, coaxial and optical outputs provide connections to external DACs. The USB and I²S outputs support PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512, subject to source and DAC compatibility.

PRECISION POWER SUPPLY & ADVANCED DSP

Separate low-noise linear and switching power supply sections provide dedicated power for analogue audio circuitry and digital processing. This arrangement helps reduce interference between sensitive conversion stages and the streaming platform.

Configurable digital signal processing includes parametric equalisation, filters, crossover functions and other audio adjustments. Users can tailor playback to their system or bypass processing when an unmodified digital signal is preferred.

6-INCH TOUCHSCREEN & SSD EXPANSION

The 6-inch touchscreen provides music browsing, album artwork, playback details and configurable VU meters. An included remote control and Eversolo Control app offer convenient operation from the listening position.

An internal M.2 NVMe SSD slot supports compatible 2280 drives up to 4TB. External USB drives and network storage offer additional options for organising and playing a high-resolution music library. The SSD is sold separately.

AN ALL-IN-ONE CENTRE FOR PREMIUM HI-FI

With high-quality DAC conversion, analogue source selection and precision volume control, the DMP-A8 can serve as the central component of a stereo system. It pairs naturally with dedicated power amplification, while its comprehensive digital outputs also provide an upgrade path through an external DAC.
