Magnetar UDP900 MKII Universal Disc Player

MAGNETAR UDP900 MKII UNIVERSAL DISC PLAYER

The Magnetar UDP900 MKII is a flagship 4K UHD universal disc player designed for exceptional music and movie reproduction. Combining multi-region disc compatibility, dual ESS ES9038PRO DACs, premium analogue circuitry and extensive audio connectivity, it is an outstanding choice for demanding Hi-Fi and home cinema systems.

MULTI-REGION EDITION: Units supplied by Audiophoria are configured for playback of Blu-ray discs from Regions A, B and C, as well as DVDs from Regions 1-6, allowing you to enjoy imported discs from around the world.

MULTI-REGION BLU-RAY AND REGION-FREE DVD PLAYBACK

Unlike standard region-locked players, the multi-region UDP900 MKII provides access to international movie collections without the usual geographical playback restrictions.

• Blu-ray Regions A, B and C: Supports discs from all three geographical Blu-ray regions. Region selection is available when required.
• DVD Regions 1-6: Region-free DVD playback with automatic region handling.
• 4K UHD Blu-ray: Worldwide playback of compatible Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, which are normally region-free.

This makes the UDP900 MKII particularly valuable for film collectors who purchase special editions, imported releases and movies unavailable in their local market.

UNIVERSAL DISC COMPATIBILITY

The UDP900 MKII supports 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD (SACD) and conventional audio CDs.

Compatible recordable disc formats are also supported, making it a versatile player for extensive collections of both music and movies.

DUAL ESS ES9038PRO DAC ARCHITECTURE

Two flagship ESS ES9038PRO digital-to-analogue converters provide dedicated processing for stereo and 7.1-channel audio. This upgraded dual-DAC architecture is one of the key differences between the UDP900 MKII and the original UDP900.

Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA stereo outputs allow connection to premium Hi-Fi amplifiers, while dedicated 7.1-channel RCA outputs offer flexible multichannel analogue integration.

HIGH-RESOLUTION USB DAC INPUT

A dedicated XMOS USB Audio input allows the UDP900 MKII to operate as a high-resolution external DAC for compatible computers and digital sources.

With support for PCM up to 768kHz and DSD512, it offers an additional way to enjoy high-resolution digital music. Updated analogue circuitry, selected OPA1602 operational amplifiers and precision clocking complement the dual ESS DAC design.

4K UHD VIDEO AND IMMERSIVE HOME CINEMA

The UDP900 MKII supports 4K UHD video, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR10 for compatible discs and displays. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks can be delivered to a compatible AV receiver or processor through HDMI bitstream output.

Dedicated HDMI video and audio connections provide installation flexibility, while TMDS retiming on the HDMI audio output is designed to improve digital signal integrity.

PREMIUM AUDIO CONSTRUCTION

The substantial chassis incorporates separated internal sections and dedicated power arrangements for digital and analogue audio circuits.

A high-quality linear power supply supports the analogue section, while upgraded internal wiring and carefully selected connectors contribute to the premium construction expected from a flagship universal player.

USB AND NETWORK MEDIA PLAYBACK

Beyond physical discs, the UDP900 MKII can reproduce compatible music and video files from USB storage and local network sources.

Ethernet connectivity supports access to compatible media libraries through DLNA, SMB and NFS. Roon Ready functionality is available with supported firmware.

THE IDEAL PLAYER FOR INTERNATIONAL DISC COLLECTIONS

The multi-region UDP900 MKII combines the flexibility of worldwide disc playback with the audio and video performance of a premium universal player.

Whether your collection includes American Blu-rays, European DVDs, Japanese releases, SACDs or 4K UHD movies, this Audiophoria multi-region edition offers an elegant solution for enjoying physical media through one high-performance component.
