FOSI AUDIO S3 NETWORK STREAMER DAC & PREAMPLIFIER
The Fosi Audio S3 combines a network streamer, DAC and stereo preamplifier in one compact chassis. It is designed as a digital hub for modern Hi-Fi systems, with network streaming, HDMI eARC, optical and analogue inputs alongside balanced XLR, RCA, optical and dedicated subwoofer outputs.
AK4493SEQ DAC & BALANCED ANALOGUE STAGE
Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by the AKM AK4493SEQ, working with OPA1612 operational amplifiers in a balanced output stage. Fosi Audio specifies THD+N of β€0.00018% and a signal-to-noise ratio of β₯120dB, while the XLR outputs provide a balanced connection to compatible power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers or active loudspeakers.
WI-FI 6, ETHERNET & MAJOR STREAMING PLATFORMS
Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and 10/100M Ethernet provide wired or wireless network access. The S3 supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast, AirPlay 2 and DLNA, allowing playback from online services, mobile devices and compatible network storage through the Fosi Audio app or supported native streaming apps.
HDMI eARC & 2.1 SYSTEM INTEGRATION
An HDMI eARC input allows the S3 to integrate directly with compatible televisions, while the dedicated subwoofer output makes it suitable for compact 2.1 systems. Optical input and output provide additional digital flexibility, and the stereo RCA input allows a conventional analogue source to share the same system.
PREAMP CONTROL & FOSI AUDIO APP
The S3 can operate as a variable-output preamplifier or as a source component feeding downstream electronics. Volume and source selection can be controlled from the front panel, Bluetooth remote or Fosi Audio app, while a 10-band EQ provides additional system adjustment. A 12V trigger output can synchronise power operation with compatible amplifiers.
COMPACT DIGITAL SYSTEM HUB
With balanced and single-ended analogue outputs, a digital optical output and integrated streaming, the S3 can be used directly with active loudspeakers, a stereo power amplifier or an external DAC. Its compact format makes it particularly suitable for desktop and space-conscious living-room systems that need both music streaming and TV integration.
