DENAFRIPS HESTIA 15TH PREAMPLIFIER

The Denafrips Hestia 15th is a fully balanced, discrete Class-A line preamplifier designed for dedicated stereo systems with separate power amplification. As the entry-level preamplifier in the Denafrips 15th Anniversary range, it combines precision relay-based volume control, discrete analogue circuitry and a linear power supply in a compact aluminium chassis.

Hestia 15th provides analogue source selection and accurate volume adjustment without incorporating unnecessary digital processing or digital-to-analogue conversion.

TRUE BALANCED CLASS-A ARCHITECTURE

The Hestia 15th employs a fully discrete, true balanced Class-A line-stage architecture with independent left and right signal paths. Its unity-gain design uses discrete buffer circuitry to provide a controlled interface between connected source components and an external power amplifier.

This architecture is designed to maintain signal integrity while minimising unwanted distortion and interference. Balanced XLR connections allow the preamplifier to integrate naturally into systems using fully balanced DACs and power amplifiers.

60-STEP RELAY VOLUME ATTENUATOR

Volume adjustment is handled by a microprocessor-controlled 60-step relay attenuator rather than a conventional potentiometer. Carefully matched precision resistors provide repeatable attenuation steps and consistent channel balance.

The relay-based design helps maintain accurate left-to-right volume tracking, particularly at lower listening levels, while keeping the analogue signal path carefully controlled.

FLEXIBLE ANALOGUE CONNECTIVITY

Hestia 15th offers two balanced XLR inputs and one single-ended RCA input, allowing connection of up to three analogue sources. Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs provide flexibility when connecting compatible stereo power amplifiers or monoblocks.

The preamplifier can be paired with external DACs, analogue-output streamers and other suitable line-level sources. It does not provide built-in DAC functionality, network streaming or a phono amplification stage.

LINEAR POWER SUPPLY & ALUMINIUM CHASSIS

A dedicated internal linear power supply incorporates a customised O-Core transformer and low-noise capacitor bank. The power supply architecture is designed to provide stable operating conditions for the Class-A buffer stages and precision attenuation circuitry.

The brushed aluminium enclosure measures 322mm wide and is available in Black and Silver. A supplied remote control enables convenient operation from the listening position.
