AUDALYTIC AH90 STREAMING DAC
The Audalytic AH90 is a compact streaming DAC, headphone amplifier and preamplifier developed within the Gustard family. It combines AKM's AK4499EX converter with the separate AK4191EQ digital modulator, XMOS XU316 USB processing and wired network playback in a compact aluminium chassis.
AK4499EX + AK4191EQ CONVERSION
The AH90 separates digital processing and analogue conversion between the AK4191EQ modulator and AK4499EX DAC. USB and LAN playback support PCM up to 32-bit / 768kHz, Native DSD512 and DoP up to DSD256, while optical and coaxial inputs provide straightforward integration with CD transports, TVs and other digital sources.
BUILT-IN NETWORK STREAMING
An RJ45 Ethernet connection adds network playback without requiring a separate streamer. The AH90 supports Roon Bridge, UPnP and AirPlay, making it suitable as the central digital source in a compact stereo or desktop system. Network connectivity is wired, with no built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER
The front panel provides both 6.35mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs with selectable gain. Maximum balanced headphone output is specified at 1000mW for headphones of 64Ξ© or lower, providing useful flexibility for efficient full-size headphones and IEMs.
DAC & PREAMPLIFIER OPERATION
Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs allow the AH90 to feed an integrated amplifier, power amplifier or active loudspeakers. Its 80-step volume control can also be bypassed for fixed-level DAC operation, allowing the unit to work either as a conventional DAC or as a compact digital preamplifier.
