GUSTARD X26III DELTA-SIGMA DAC
The Gustard X26III is a fully balanced network streaming DAC built around two ESS ES9039SPRO converters. Positioned below the flagship X30, it combines high-resolution digital conversion, wired network playback, configurable I²S, external clock support and a substantial discrete analogue output stage in Gustard's compact full-width chassis.
DUAL ES9039SPRO CONVERSION
Two ESS ES9039SPRO DAC chips form the core of the X26III's balanced conversion architecture. Gustard also implements its own digital processing, including three proprietary PCM filter choices and a selectable NOS mode, allowing the internal ESS filtering behaviour to be bypassed for a different processing path.
BUILT-IN NETWORK STREAMING
The integrated Ethernet interface allows the X26III to operate directly as a network audio endpoint. Supported services include Roon Bridge, AirPlay, UPnP, HQPlayer NAA and Spotify. USB and network playback support PCM up to 32-bit / 768kHz and Native DSD512.
EXTENSIVE DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY
Alongside USB and Ethernet, the X26III provides HDMI-format I²S, AES/EBU, coaxial and optical inputs. Four selectable I²S pin configurations improve compatibility with digital transports from different manufacturers, while automatic PCM/DSD detection simplifies I²S operation.
PRECISION CLOCKING & BALANCED OUTPUT
Gustard's GCLK-02 low-noise clock synthesizer generates the master clock for both the DAC and internal digital processing. A 50Ω BNC input accepts an external 10MHz reference clock. The analogue stage provides balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs with either fixed or variable level operation.
