AUDALYTIC HP70 HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER
The Audalytic HP70 is a fully balanced headphone amplifier and preamplifier developed under the Gustard family. It is designed for desktop and full-size Hi-Fi systems where a dedicated analogue amplification stage is preferred, combining balanced and single-ended headphone outputs with multiple analogue inputs, preamp outputs and remote control.
FULLY BALANCED HEADPHONE STAGE
The HP70 provides both a 4.4mm balanced headphone output and a 6.35mm single-ended output. Through the balanced connection, Audalytic specifies approximately 2000mW of maximum undistorted output into a 32Ī© load, giving the amplifier substantial headroom for many full-size dynamic and planar magnetic headphones.
XLR & RCA ANALOGUE INPUTS
The rear panel provides one balanced stereo XLR input together with two stereo RCA inputs, allowing several analogue sources to remain connected. Input selection can be controlled from the front panel or with the supplied remote control, making the HP70 suitable for systems built around a dedicated DAC, streamer or other line-level source.
PREAMPLIFIER FUNCTION
In addition to headphone use, the HP70 can operate as an analogue preamplifier through its rear XLR and RCA outputs. This allows the same source and volume-control stage to feed a power amplifier or active loudspeaker system, while the headphone amplifier can be enabled or disabled independently from the menu.
ADJUSTABLE GAIN & FLEXIBLE POWERING
Gain is continuously adjustable from 0dB to +28dB, allowing the HP70 to be matched more precisely to different sources and headphones. Power can be supplied directly from 115V/230V AC mains or through an external 15ā18V DC supply rated at 2A or higher.
