SMSL A50 BLUETOOTH INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
The SMSL A50 is a compact Class D stereo integrated amplifier designed for desktop audio, bookshelf speakers and space-saving Hi-Fi systems. Combining dual Texas Instruments TPA3116 amplifier chips, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and adjustable tone controls, it brings convenient everyday music listening to a remarkably small enclosure.
DUAL TEXAS INSTRUMENTS TPA3116 AMPLIFICATION
The A50 uses two Texas Instruments TPA3116 Class D amplifier chips to power a pair of compatible passive loudspeakers. Its efficient design delivers useful output power for compact stereo systems while keeping operating temperatures and energy consumption low.
SMSL specifies 100W per channel into 2 ohms with one channel driven as a maximum output figure. For more typical loudspeaker loads, published performance figures are approximately 60W per channel into 4 ohms and 33W per channel into 8 ohms under specified measurement conditions.
BLUETOOTH 5.0 WIRELESS PLAYBACK
Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 allows music playback from compatible smartphones, tablets and computers without a separate wireless receiver.
The A50 is ideal for casual music streaming, desktop listening and convenient access to your favourite playlists. A traditional stereo RCA input is also provided for wired analogue sources.
ADJUSTABLE BASS AND TREBLE
Separate bass and treble adjustments allow the sound balance to be tailored to personal preference, speaker placement and room acoustics.
The tone controls provide a manufacturer-specified adjustment range of Β±14dB. Additional preset sound modes offer convenient alternatives for different types of music and listening situations.
ELECTRONIC VOLUME CONTROL
The SMSL A50 uses electronic volume control instead of a conventional mechanical potentiometer, avoiding the contact noise sometimes associated with worn analogue volume controls.
An integrated pop-suppression circuit helps prevent unwanted noises when switching the amplifier on or off.
REMOTE CONTROL AND SIMPLE OPERATION
An included remote control provides convenient access to volume, input selection and operating functions.
The compact front-panel display shows operating information, while the multifunction control allows straightforward adjustment directly on the amplifier.
ULTRA-COMPACT DESIGN
Measuring only 97 Γ 32 Γ 107mm, the A50 fits comfortably on a desk, shelf or compact entertainment unit. Its lightweight enclosure and external power adapter make installation simple.
The amplifier is designed for passive stereo speakers and does not include a headphone output, dedicated subwoofer amplifier, USB DAC or HDMI ARC connection.
