FOSI AUDIO BT20A MAX-48V

The Fosi Audio BT20A MAX-48V is a compact 2.1-channel Class D integrated amplifier designed for passive loudspeakers and systems with an optional powered subwoofer. This Audiophoria version is supplied with a 48V power adapter, giving the amplifier access to the higher-power operating range of its TPA3255 output stage.

TPA3255 CLASS D WITH PFFB

The amplification stage is based on the Texas Instruments TPA3255, supported by NE5532 operational amplifiers and Post-Filter Feedback technology. PFFB takes feedback after the output filter, helping reduce load-dependent response variation while maintaining THD+N at ≤0.003% and a signal-to-noise ratio of ≥112dB.

UP TO 2 × 180W RMS WITH 48V SUPPLY

With the 48V power supply, the BT20A MAX is specified for up to 180W RMS per channel into 4Ω, with a maximum output rating of 300W per channel into 4Ω. Its 2–8Ω speaker compatibility makes it suitable for a wide range of bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeakers.

BLUETOOTH 6.0 WITH LDAC & APTX

Wireless connectivity is handled by the Qualcomm QCC3095 Bluetooth 6.0 platform. Supported codecs include LDAC, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC, with supported Bluetooth audio streams reaching up to 24-bit/96kHz.

2.1 SYSTEM INTEGRATION

Two stereo RCA inputs allow connection of separate analogue sources, while a dedicated subwoofer output simplifies the creation of a compact 2.1 system. A switchable 80Hz high-pass filter can remove frequencies below 80Hz from the main speaker outputs when a subwoofer is handling the lowest frequencies.

REMOTE CONTROL & TONE ADJUSTMENT

Bass and treble controls can be used for simple system tuning, or bypassed when a direct signal path is preferred. The motorised analogue volume potentiometer allows remote volume adjustment, while the supplied IR remote also provides input and Bluetooth control. A 12V trigger input enables synchronised power control with compatible components.

ACTIVE COOLING FOR COMPACT HIGH-POWER OPERATION

The compact chassis combines side and top ventilation with an internal cooling fan. Fosi Audio states that this arrangement improves cooling efficiency by approximately 30% compared with the BT20A Pro, helping maintain stable operation during sustained high-output use.
