The REL S/812 is a powerful active subwoofer from REL's acclaimed Serie S, developed for demanding two-channel music systems and high-performance home cinema. Combining an 800W NextGen5 Class D amplifier, a 12-inch Continuous CastAlloy active driver and a 12-inch Carbon/Carbon passive radiator, it delivers deep, articulate bass with exceptional scale and dynamic authority.

CARBON-REINFORCED 12-INCH DRIVER

The front-firing 12-inch (300mm) Continuous CastAlloy driver uses a lightweight aluminium cone reinforced with strategically positioned pure carbon fibre. This construction increases rigidity and helps control unwanted resonances during demanding low-frequency passages.

A matching 12-inch down-firing Carbon/Carbon passive radiator employs REL's SuperProgressive suspension technology. Its extended travel helps the S/812 reproduce powerful low frequencies while retaining precision and control, achieving a specified extension of 19Hz at -6dB.

800W NEXTGEN5 CLASS D AMPLIFICATION

The S/812 features an 800W RMS NextGen5 Class D amplifier, providing substantial power reserves for dynamic music and cinematic effects. REL's PerfectFilter technology is designed to improve low-frequency extension and integration with the main loudspeakers.

Dedicated PureTheatre filtering further enhances performance with demanding film soundtracks, allowing the subwoofer to deliver substantial impact without sacrificing the musical character for which REL is known.

HIGH-LEVEL, RCA & BALANCED LFE CONNECTIVITY

REL's Neutrik Speakon High-Level connection allows integration with compatible stereo amplifiers. Stereo RCA low-level inputs and dedicated RCA and balanced XLR LFE connections provide flexibility for preamplifiers, AV receivers and home cinema processors.

High-Level and LFE connections can be used simultaneously in appropriately configured systems. Optional REL AirShip wireless connectivity is also supported for installations where signal cables would be impractical.

STEREO PAIRS & LINE ARRAY PERFORMANCE

The S/812 is designed to operate individually, as a stereo pair or in compatible vertical Line Array configurations. A pair of subwoofers can provide dedicated bass support for left and right channels, while larger installations offer greater output headroom and improved bass coverage.

The cabinet is finished in premium Piano Black or Gloss White lacquer, combining substantial internal reinforcement with a refined appearance suited to high-end listening rooms.

MULTI-SUBWOOFER CONFIGURATIONS

For larger stereo systems and dedicated home cinemas, multiple REL S/812 subwoofers can provide additional bass authority and more consistent low-frequency coverage throughout the listening area.
