FOSI AUDIO I5 OPEN-BACK PLANAR HEADPHONES
The Fosi Audio I5 Offline Version is an open-back over-ear headphone built around a large 97mm planar magnetic driver. Designed for dedicated music listening, it combines an ultra-thin diaphragm, symmetrical magnetic drive system and open acoustic structure with a CNC-machined aluminium and walnut construction.
97MM PLANAR MAGNETIC DRIVER
At the heart of the I5 is a 97mm planar magnetic transducer using an ultra-thin 2Ī¼m diaphragm. A 1.3Ī¼m silver-alloy conductive layer is applied to the diaphragm, while the large radiating surface provides the foundation for low-distortion, wide-bandwidth reproduction across the specified 10Hzā50kHz frequency range.
44-MAGNET PUSH-PULL ARRAY
The diaphragm is positioned between two symmetrical arrays containing a total of 44 N50 neodymium magnets. This push-pull configuration applies magnetic force from both sides of the diaphragm, helping maintain controlled movement across its large surface area while minimising non-linear distortion.
OPEN-BACK ACOUSTIC DESIGN
An acoustically open rear grille allows air to move freely behind the planar driver rather than trapping it inside a sealed enclosure. The I5 is therefore intended primarily for quiet listening environments where maximum isolation is not required. Its 28Ī© nominal impedance and 98dB/mW sensitivity make it compatible with a wide range of dedicated headphone amplifiers and DAC/headphone amplifier combinations.
ALUMINIUM, WALNUT & PREMIUM MATERIALS
The headphone structure combines CNC-machined aluminium with genuine walnut wood accents. A suspended headband distributes the 550g weight across the head, while large circumaural ear pads surround the ears. The earcups use standard dual 3.5mm connections, allowing the detachable cable to be replaced or upgraded.
BALANCED 4.4MM OFFLINE VERSION
The Audiophoria Offline Version includes a detachable balanced 4.4mm cable, making it suitable for headphone amplifiers equipped with balanced outputs. A detachable 3.5mm cable is also included, allowing the I5 to be used with conventional single-ended headphone outputs.
