TRUE BALANCED R-2R ARCHITECTURE
The Denafrips Pontus 15th Anniversary is a fully balanced R-2R DAC designed for listeners who want greater naturalness, dimensionality and tonal texture from digital playback. Its proprietary architecture combines a high-precision 26-bit R-2R ladder for PCM with dedicated 6-bit DSD conversion.
UPGRADED DUAL O-CORE POWER SUPPLY
The 15th Anniversary edition features a redesigned linear power supply with two 80VA O-Core transformers. Separate power delivery for the digital and analogue sections helps reduce interference and provides a stable foundation for the conversion stage.
PRECISION DIGITAL PROCESSING
All digital inputs are buffered and reclocked before conversion, reducing dependence on the incoming source clock. High-precision 0.005% matched resistors, TCXO clocking and updated FPGA processing are used to maintain timing accuracy and low noise.
NOS & OS LISTENING MODES
Choose between Non-Oversampling for a more direct conversion path or Oversampling with selectable Sharp and Slow filters. The Pontus 15th also allows configurable I²S pinout and DSD channel settings for easier integration with different digital transports.
HIGH-RESOLUTION DIGITAL SUPPORT
USB and I²S support PCM up to 1536kHz and native DSD1024, while coaxial, optical and AES/EBU inputs support PCM up to 192kHz and DSD64 via DoP.
FLEXIBLE SYSTEM INTEGRATION
With dual AES/EBU, RCA and BNC coaxial, optical, USB-B and HDMI-format I²S inputs, the Pontus 15th can serve as the digital hub of a serious Hi-Fi system. Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs allow straightforward connection to both integrated amplifiers and preamplifiers.
