TOPPING MINI 300 STEREO POWER AMPLIFIER

The Topping Mini 300 is a compact two-channel Class D amplifier designed for desktop Hi-Fi systems, bookshelf loudspeakers and space-conscious stereo installations. Combining a fully balanced amplification architecture, low measured distortion and flexible analogue connectivity, it delivers substantial output power from an aluminium enclosure just 166mm wide.

FULLY BALANCED CLASS D ARCHITECTURE

The Mini 300 uses a balanced Class D amplifier design with dedicated left and right speaker outputs. Its circuitry is engineered for low noise, efficient power delivery and accurate reproduction of the incoming analogue signal.

With balanced input selected, Topping specifies a signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range of 124dB. THD+N is below 0.0004% at 5W into 8Ω under the manufacturer's A-weighted test conditions.

HIGH-POWER STEREO PERFORMANCE

The Mini 300 delivers up to 125W per channel into 4Ω or 65W per channel into 8Ω at THD+N below 1%. Its maximum published ratings reach 140W and 85W per channel respectively, measured at a higher distortion threshold.

With support for 4–8Ω passive loudspeakers, the Mini 300 can serve as the amplification stage for compact bookshelf systems and appropriately matched floorstanding speakers.

BALANCED TRS AND RCA INPUTS

The rear panel provides a stereo pair of balanced 6.35mm TRS inputs alongside conventional RCA connections. A front-panel selector allows the user to switch between balanced and single-ended sources without reconnecting cables.

The balanced inputs are particularly useful with compatible DACs and preamplifiers, while the RCA inputs accommodate a wide selection of conventional Hi-Fi components.

ANALOGUE VOLUME CONTROL

An integrated analogue volume potentiometer allows direct level adjustment using the front-panel knob. The Mini 300 can therefore be paired with a fixed-output DAC or other suitable line-level source without requiring a separate preamplifier.

For systems using a variable-output source, volume can also be managed upstream. Careful level setting is recommended when connecting high-output DACs.

12V TRIGGER AND EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY

The rear 12V trigger input supports automatic power switching when connected to compatible equipment with a trigger output. Selecting TRIG mode on the front panel enables synchronised operation.

A dedicated 38V/4A external power adapter is supplied with the amplifier. This provides the required power while allowing the main enclosure to remain compact.

COMPACT DESIGN AND SPEAKER COMPATIBILITY

The Mini 300 measures 166 × 129 × 41mm and weighs approximately 665g, making it suitable for desktop placement, small equipment shelves and minimalist stereo systems.

Its bridge-tied load (BTL) speaker outputs must be connected directly to separate loudspeakers according to the manufacturer's instructions. The negative speaker terminals are not common ground and must not be connected together or grounded.

The Mini 300 is an analogue stereo amplifier. It does not include a DAC, Bluetooth receiver, network streamer or headphone output.
