REL Airship Direct brings high-performance wireless connectivity to compatible REL subwoofers, combining zero-compression audio transmission with an exceptionally clean installation. Developed for the latest Serie S models, it eliminates the need for long signal cables and separate receiver power supplies while preserving the precision, dynamics and low-frequency detail of the audio system.

DIRECT RECEIVER INTEGRATION

Unlike conventional wireless subwoofer systems, Airship Direct uses a compact receiver module that connects directly to a dedicated port on the rear amplifier panel of compatible REL subwoofers. There is no separate receiver box to position, no additional receiver power adapter and no short RCA cable between the receiver and subwoofer.

The result is a more discreet installation with fewer cables and a straightforward pairing process.

ZERO-COMPRESSION WIRELESS AUDIO

Airship Direct builds on the technology developed for REL AirShip II, offering wide-bandwidth, zero-compression transmission with exceptionally low latency. This helps preserve the timing, impact and detail required for demanding stereo music and home cinema systems.

The system supports simultaneous wireless transmission of REL High-Level and .1/LFE signals, allowing a suitably configured installation to serve both two-channel music and home cinema without changing connections.

Airship Direct is officially supported by the following current REL Serie S models:

Compatibility depends on the presence of REL's dedicated Airship Direct receiver connection. Airship Direct must not be confused with the earlier AirShip II, Arrow Wireless or HT-Air systems.

STEREO PAIRS & MULTI-SUBWOOFER SYSTEMS

Airship Direct supports installations using multiple compatible REL subwoofers. A single transmitter can communicate with multiple receiver modules, making it suitable for stereo pairs and compatible REL Line Array configurations.

This flexibility allows the system to expand while avoiding long signal cable runs across the listening room. The stated wireless range is up to 10 metres with clear line of sight.

SIMPLE CONNECTION & SETUP

The transmitter provides connections for High-Level and low-level/LFE signals, supporting integration with compatible stereo amplifiers, preamplifiers and home cinema processors. The supplied connection cables and transmitter power adapter simplify installation.
