CAYIN CS-805A TUBE INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER

The Cayin CS-805A is a high-end single-ended Class A vacuum tube integrated amplifier combining traditional triode amplification with unusually substantial output power. Using two 805A output tubes driven by 300B triodes, it delivers 50W per channel while retaining the distinctive single-ended circuit architecture preferred by many valve audio enthusiasts.

SINGLE-ENDED CLASS A WITH 805A OUTPUT TUBES

Unlike conventional push-pull tube amplifiers, the CS-805A employs a single-ended Class A output stage. Each channel uses a directly heated 805A power triode, supported by a wide-bandwidth output transformer.

The 805A configuration allows Cayin to achieve significantly greater rated output power than many lower-powered single-ended designs, offering additional flexibility when matching the amplifier with suitable passive loudspeakers.

300B DRIVER STAGE AND 6SN7 VOLTAGE AMPLIFICATION

The CS-805A incorporates two 300B vacuum tubes in the driver stage, providing the voltage swing required to operate the 805A output tubes. Two 6SN7 triodes handle the initial voltage amplification.

This carefully arranged three-stage vacuum tube architecture combines 6SN7 voltage amplification, 300B driver amplification and 805A single-ended power output in a fully analogue signal path.

SELECTABLE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK

The amplifier provides two selectable negative-feedback settings: 0dB and -3dB. These settings alter the amplifier's feedback characteristics, providing an additional means of matching its presentation to connected loudspeakers and personal listening preferences.

Negative feedback can be selected using the supplied infrared remote control, allowing convenient comparison from the listening position.

ADJUSTABLE BIAS AND HUM BALANCE

An integrated analogue bias meter and external adjustment controls allow the operating bias of the 805A output tubes to be monitored and adjusted according to Cayin's instructions.

The amplifier also provides separate 300B hum balance adjustment, enabling fine adjustment of residual hum associated with the directly heated driver tubes.

ANALOGUE CONNECTIVITY AND HEADPHONE OUTPUT

Three stereo RCA line inputs accommodate external DACs, music streamers, CD players and other analogue sources. A dedicated PRE-IN connection allows the CS-805A to operate as a stereo power amplifier with a compatible external preamplifier.

A front-panel 6.35mm headphone output provides an additional listening option, while 4Ω and 8Ω speaker terminals support appropriate matching with compatible passive loudspeakers.

HANDCRAFTED PREMIUM CONSTRUCTION

Hand-wired point-to-point circuitry, thickly silver-plated internal signal wiring, a specially designed toroidal power transformer and wide-bandwidth EI output transformers reflect Cayin's traditional approach to high-end valve amplifier construction.

A motorised Japanese ALPS volume potentiometer, infrared remote control, operating-state memory and high-voltage delay circuit provide everyday convenience. A removable protective tube cover is also included.
